How much should I give to the Lord? he Bible puts it this way, “every man according to his ability...” (Acts 11:29) Understand that all that you ever had, all that you have now, and all that you will ever have is a gift from a gracious God. That includes your health, you finances, your abilities, and you time. You should give as the Lord has “prospered you” (1 Cor 16:2). The OT principle of a “tithe” or a “tenth” is a good starting point, but should never be where you should stop. As God’s people we should be willing to open out our hands to the Lord and allow Him to take what He will, as opposed to what we want to give. (Gen 14:20; Rom 12:8)
